30 December 2010 opening of Obvodniy Kanal metro station’ entrance hall took place

30 December 2010 in St. Petersburg the opening of Obvodniy Kanal metro station’ entrance hall took place. A new metro station is located between Volkovskaya and Zvenigorodskaya metro station. The entrance to the metro is supposed to be from the first floor of shopping and entertainment centre that Adamant company contemplates to open in 2011 at the corner of Ligovskiy prospect and Obvodniy Kanal embankment. Now the project is under the construction.

In the flourish the senior government officials of the city, the governor of St. Petersburg -
V.N. Matvienko, chairman of legislative assembly - V.A. Tyulpanov, the Head of
St. Petrsburg Metro – V.A. Garyugin, have taken part.
